Mobile and sustainable housing that restores dignity and hope.
ABITA is a Québec-based social innovation project led by Fondation Santé en Amont, HTP Développement, Constellations Espaces Innovants and Éléments Planificateur Urbain.
Together, they design a new generation of eco-friendly, mobile, and connected micro-homes, providing dignity, safety, and autonomy for people in crisis.
Through ABITA Connect, cities and non-profits can manage and coordinate housing solutions in real time.
“Blending architecture, technology, and humanity — that’s what makes ABITA unique.”
— Sol Abraham, Fondation Santé en Amont
Built with PakVille recycled panels made from plastic bottles, each ABITA unit is light, durable, and well-insulated. It’s fully energy-autonomous (solar + FranklinWH battery) and ready in under 48 hours — perfect for fast deployment and year-round comfort. Mobile, ecological shelters ready to serve wherever they’re needed.
Inside, ABITA is designed for well-being and simplicity — natural light, smart storage, and ergonomic flow.
Models adapt to different needs :
ABITA merges physical and digital infrastructure — dignified, eco-friendly, data-driven housing for people in need.
A pilot project in Montréal (2026) will test and refine the model with social partners.
With ABITA Connect, cities can cut management costs by 50 % while improving transparency and impact measurement.
ABITA — More than shelter. A bridge to reintegration.
Next phase : stackable 360 sq ft units built from CLT wood and recycled PakVille panels — creating affordable, sustainable housing blocks.
