Artistic Direction Rooted in Eco-Design
Originally developed for a large-scale project in Saint-Hippolyte, the Lesah draws inspiration from minimalist Nordic architecture. It embodies elegance through simplicity, featuring:
-
Clean lines and locally sourced materials that create a chic, calm, and sophisticated atmosphere.
-
Light exterior tones selected to reduce environmental impact (fewer GHGs than darker colors).
-
An interior L-shaped arch made with warm materials (pine, cedar, or recycled CanExel), designed to maximize passive solar gain thanks to its full south-facing orientation.
Designed for Family Life
The Lesah includes:
-
3 secondary bedrooms
-
1 primary bedroom
-
2 living rooms (one central, one private)
-
Full kitchen with island
-
2 bathrooms
-
Separate mudroom
-
Ample built-in storage
-
Anthracite concrete slab (solid structure, sleek aesthetic)
The structure sits on a smooth anthracite gray concrete slab, ensuring both stability and refined style. The kitchen, crafted in PureBond plywood or maple, harmonizes beautifully with the concrete countertops, offering visual and material coherence throughout the home.
The entrance through a functional mudroom opens onto a living area bathed in natural light. The lounge, located at the end of the arch, features concrete floors and plywood ceilings, creating an intimate, subtly contrasted relaxation space.
Architecture Designed for Modern Family Living
The Lesah offers a total surface area of approximately 1,500 sq. ft., with an L-shaped layout that promotes natural light and smooth circulation. At the heart of the home, an open-concept living space of ±386 sq. ft. includes a living room, dining area, and a linear kitchen with island, built-in appliances, and a hidden laundry area. The entrance is through a functional ±117 sq. ft. mudroom with integrated storage. Materials used are durable and high-end, such as maple plywood and concrete countertops.
The right wing includes four secondary bedrooms (±81 sq. ft. each) with storage, a private ±122 sq. ft. lounge at the end of the hall, and two central bathrooms — a main bathroom (±67 sq. ft.) with tub, shower, and double vanity, and a half-bathroom (±32 sq. ft.). A ±96 sq. ft. primary bedroom is located on the opposite end, ensuring privacy and comfort. The overall layout combines simplicity, natural materials, and space optimization for a warm, modern family lifestyle.
